Royal Academy x The Arts Club Summer Prize 2021

The world’s oldest open submission exhibition, the Royal Academy’s annual Summer Exhibition has run since 1769 and displays works in a variety of mediums and genres by emerging and established artists.

As part of The Arts Club’s ongoing partnership with the Royal Academy, each year we award a cash prize to a single entrant, under the age of 35 and working in any medium.

We are delighted to announce the winner of The Arts Club Prize 2021, as the incredibly talented Ofunne Azinge.

‘Dis wan na clone’ was unanimously chosen by The Arts Club’s Director of Art, Aurore Ankarcrona Ogden and Humphrey Ocean RA, and has also been selected by curator, Yinka Shonibare, as one of this year’s ‘Curators Choice’.

Congratulations to Ofunne Azinge who, at 23, undoubtedly has a long, illustrious career ahead of her.

Her work can be viewed in Gallery III. The Summer Exhibition runs until the 2nd January, 2022.
