Supper Club in Leo’s: Dele Sosimi & The Afrobeat Orchestra

Following on from the spectacular success that was the Dover Street Big Band, The Arts Club is proud to announce that we will be paying host to Nigerian-British afro-beat icon, Dele Sosimi, credited with shaping the genre since moving to the UK in 1995. Starting with Fela Kuti’s Egypt 80 as a teenager, Dele later formed Positive Force with Fela’s son, Femi Kuti, earning significant acclaim.

Decades on, his music, a fusion of funk, Nigerian tunes, African percussion, jazz, and his keyboard prowess, has established him as a revered figure in the afro-beat scene, actively promoting the movement worldwide, and featuring in many of the most important jazz festivals globally.

Supper Club allows for members to enjoy this performance with an optional beautifully prepared African-inspired set menu by the Brasserie’s Executive Head Chef, Jean-Luc Mongodin in the comfort of your seats in Leo’s.
