Valentino Bau

Oscuro Manager

Valentino began his career in hospitality in Italy, working at restaurant Trussardi alla Scala Milan and Grand Hotel des Bains in Venice, while simultaneously studying at Erminio Maggia di Stresa.

After completing his formal studies, Valentino undertook an AIS sommelier qualification while working at renowned Italian restaurant Gualtiero Marchesi, before moving to England. Here, he became adept at delivering exceptional customer service through his experience at Michelin star restaurant, The Waterside Inn. It was here that Valentino was introduced to the world of rare spirits and cigars, becoming an Ambassador of Armagnac in 2018 and honing his specialist knowledge within the field.

In 2019, Valentino embarked on a new opportunity in fine wines, cigars and spirits, joining The Arts Club to assist with the launch of the newly appointed cigar lounge, Oscuro. Valentino’s expertise and specialist knowledge has been integral to the curation of Oscuro’s exceptional collection of rare and sought-after cigars, whiskies, cognacs and more – ensuring the space remains an incredibly unique and sought after offering for discerning cigar aficionados.
