Following his desire to pursue a career in hospitality, Giuliano moved from Rome to London, to work in leading establishments in the city. He quickly became fascinated by the elegance and handcrafted nature of cigars, and spent four years at The Lanesborough Hotel developing a comprehensive understanding of the industry. Here he achieved the highest certification of Havana Master Cigar Sommelier. In the years following, Giuliano went on to manage the new Cigar Lounge at The Ritz, where he was able to further combine his passions for hospitality and cigars, while building relationships with leading cigar producers from around the world.
Giuliano joined The Arts Club as cigar manager in 2019, coinciding with the opening of Oscuro, the Club’s specialist tobacconist and whisky bar. He continues to work closely with suppliers globally, sourcing rare and sought after sticks for the walk-in humidor, and helping members build their personal collections. He was awarded the sought after Cigar Sommelier of the Year at the Cigar Smoker of The Year Awards Dinner, 2019 and describes The Arts Club as the perfect setting to enjoy and explore his passion for the finest in hospitality, food, drink and cigars.
